5 Basic Ways to Increase Your Blog Visitors

It takes a long time to build a successful blog with many readers, that is why a lot of people fed up earlier and they can’t reach the goal.

But there are five basic ways that can help you to take the advantage of this situation for your benefit:

1. Post Regularly
Whatever is the interest that you are blogging, follow up the news about it, and try make at least three posts weekly.

Don’t be too specific about your topic, post more about the basic information with general guidelines while mentioning your personal ideas, but also include detailed information for more curious readers.

For example, if you decide to make three posts a week you can write in general, shorter in first two of them, and go longer with more detailed information on the third one.

2. Reconsider Your Navigation
Assume that you are a visitor on your website and find out how easy you can access the related information from any post. Unfortunately most of the new visitors don’t use site search function, specially those who are driven to your website by search engine results, what they do is just going back to check another result.

It helps your visitor to see the exact location of the page on your website and decide better to leave or stay. You can use it on the top of the post titles or, at the bottom of the posts along with previous-next post links.

3. Bookmark Your New Posts
After posting something new, don’t just sit back and wait for the time it’s being discovered. Go to some of the high PR social bookmarking websites and bookmark your post.

My favorites are Mixx, MisterWong and Reddit. If you provide bookmarking options to your visitors don’t include the ones that you are actually bookmarking yourself.

4. Be Active on Comments
Show your commenters that you value their thoughts. Reply to comments as much as you can.

5. Know the Importance of Excerpts
Try to make catchy titles and excerpts that creates wonder. It makes people to pay attention and click on your links. Always use summaries on blog feeds while encouraging your visitors for feed subscription.

That way your subscribers can easily evaluate if they are interested to read or not, you will benefit if they decide keep reading they will come back to your website.
